The Radio Signal Modelers Flying Club was chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics in 1971.  Our club is also chartered by the Cook County Forest Preserve to operate and maintain the flying field located in Shiller Woods at Cumberland and IrvingPark.

Club Meetings:
Meeting Day(s): First Monday of each month
Meeting Time(s): 7:00pm winter, 6:30pm summer
Meeting Location: At the
flying field in the summer months (June-Sept).  During the winter months our meetings will be at: Strictly RC Hobby Shop 7719 W. Lawrence, Norridge, IL

Field grass mowing takes place every Thursday 1PM-3PM If you want like to help out, just show up and we'll put you to work!
(Alternate date if rain, wet grass, etc., Friday)

RSM Club will host an All HELI Fun-Fly for all you heli guys, members or not.  BBQ around noon. Contact Rick for details.  (Note: helis will have use of the entire field, no airplanes until after 3pm)

Flying season is here again... and spring rain brings spring mud!  To prevent the grass from dying in front of the flight stands, simply relocate your flight stand to a non-muddy area. Just moving it over a foot or two will allow the grass to recover.
